Yep. See it HERE.

Is it worth it? Of course but perhaps not to you.

Or how about a fountain encrusted with diamonds? A pen so exclusive that only one is created every year. It’s the Diamante. It’s encrusted with more than 30 carats of diamonds on a solid platinum barrel topped with an even larger diamond and has a nib of 18-carat gold. The buyer can also have the pen emblazoned with the family coat of arms, a signature or a portrait. There is no set price for the pen, but the best estimate is $1.28 million.
These are the super money pens, a list of 25 of the most expensive HERE but anything can be made of expensive and rare metals and other components then encrusted with jewels so the most expensive pens are not even designed yet. Are they worth the money? Of course, ….to the right person.
It’s like the Mona Lisa. You can appreciate it even though you can’t buy it.
Take a look at a beautiful Montblanc made for Prince Albert on his wedding day, HERE. What’s it worth?

A fountain pen can write really well which is the first attribute of a great fountain pen but so far as the cost, the upper limit depends on human ingenuity and of course money.

Personally I purchased a Cross fountain pen at Staples and it writes beautifully. Also, a LAMY and even a dragon pen from ebay provide a lot of pleasure in addition to the functionality. Would I like a Namiki? Of course but like the Mona Lisa, it’s not in my budget.
OTOH, I make fountain pens from “kits” of the parts from MCLS Penn State Industries which is located in nearby Bethayres, PA. Especially nice are the Majestic and the Majestic Jr. fountain pens but you need a lathe, some lathe tools and some skill to do it. Very satisfying however when the pens are finally made.
