America is once again changed by, for, and because of Black Americans.

The Civil War was about slavery. After the Civil War, the bloodiest war for Americans where more Americans were killed than in World War’s One or Two and Sherman’s “March through Georgia and South Carolina” to try to make sure the war could not be re-started by the Confederates, the Civil War came to it’s end.
It was about abolishing Slavery. It was successful. Slavery was abolished by law in 1863. That was 143 years ago but the underlying issue of race is still going on.
Today the same kinds of forces that caused the Civil War are aligning over race. Today it’s “The Black Race” Against “The White Race.” The Black protesters say they are oppressed. The White People point to decades of additional payments, additional benefits and additional programs designed to make black people and white people equal in terms of material benefits which seems not to have worked as planned or as intended. Just as men and women are different, black people and white people are different. Have been different and will continue to be different. Billions of dollars collected and spent on Affirmative Action programs to uniquely benefit black Americans didn’t work. How did we get here? Why?

Partly because the issue of race requires a certain amount of denial and a certain amount of guilt by white people. Black people cannot ever be accused of racism as long as racism means black people cannot commit it. That’s denial. Black people cannot be guilty of racism which leaves racism guilt to the white people. Are white people racist? Yes according to black people and no according to white people. That’s a stalemate. there’s no changing a stalemate. It’s the end and it’s not resolved.

Things that cannot be resolved will not change because the change requires something impossible like the repeal of the law of gravity.
