To end a war permanently, one must ultimately confront the political and cultural center of an aggressor. The political differences between the West, meaning America and Europe, and the culture of the Middle East is stark.
America’s political basis is the freedom of the individual and the only system that supports that is Capitalism. Compare that to the political basis of the Middle East which is what?
At the very least, at it’s most basic the political idea of the Middle East is Islam. That means Sharia law which is Koranic. That’s theological meaning the Middle East is a theocracy which in turn means the supernatural origin, purpose and workings of the people and their mystical approach to law means there’s great variability in the basics of the Middle East but no firm base.
The alternative to the supernatural based Middle East system is reality. A war against a mystical theocracy can be won by changing it to a Reality based system. A mystical idea can be replaced by a reality based idea.
That means the separation of religion and government. People can be free to follow whatever ideas they demand or desire so long as they accept secular law. That can mean sharia applies in the mosque and the homes of the believers, not in the streets.
America didn’t start this war-they did, by arming, training, protecting sanctioning and attacking America by attackers who killed innocent Americans.
