President Obama had loads of hateful ideas about “others” yet the media, the Left, the Democrats and rachel Maddow never, ever called him on any of his lies.
“If you like your health care plan you can keep it”. Politifact called it the lie of the year.
“If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor”. “Fast and Furious” began under the Bush administration.” Obama lied during his campaigns; during his presidency and he will continue to lie for the rest of his life because he has internalized a special hate towards “others” so he disrespects “others”.
Many people know how it felt to get the heebie-jeebies every time president Obama’s face flashed across the screen. The Tea Party groups were investigated against common decency and respect for the law as if America was a tin pot third world dictatorship during Obama’s presidency.
The Fast and Furious scandal was worse than the expected corruption in Africa. Africa is widely considered among the world’s most corrupt places, a factor seen as contributing to the stunted development and impoverishment of many African states. Of the ten countries considered most corrupt in the world, six are in sub-Saharan Africa, according to Transparency International, a leading global watchdog on corruption.
After being ignored by Pbama for eight years, Trump’s suspicion of foreign aid to Africa is right on the money
Mick Mulvaney, the Director of the White House Office of Management Budget confirmed the Trump administration is set to make “fairly dramatic reductions” in the U.S. foreign aid budget particularly in Africa.
In early January, the Trump transition team sought clear answers from the State Department to a set of probing questions:
1) “With so much corruption in Africa, how much of our funding is stolen?”
2) “We’ve been fighting al-Shabaab for a decade, why haven’t we won?”
3) “How does U.S. business compete with other nations in Africa? Are we losing out to the Chinese?”
4) “Why should the U.S. continue the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) which provides massive support to corrupt African regimes?”
Obama did nothing about African corruption which according to the African Union is the principal cause of poor governance and state failure in Africa. According to the African Union, an “estimate(d) 25 percent of the continent’s GDP (nearly 150 billion dollars) is lost due to corruption.”
The era of U.S. foreign policy of aid handouts and alms giving to Africa generously supported by American taxpayers, without strict accountability, must end. The Trump administration’s proposal to reduce foreign aid is a step in the right direction.
