Oh the delicious irony. Over the past few years we’ve been told it’s OK when five year old boys play with dolls and five year old girls get into boxing. The Liberals insisted that’s the new normal of inclusiveness and diversity. They said Bernie was right about a guaranteed basic income and running for president as a Socialist was normal. Same for forcing Christian bakers to decorate homosexual wedding cakes, undocumented immigrants voting in our elections, and attacking  the police are  normal, normal, and normal. 

  1. Left wing Vox published an article by Dara Lind titled “The media is missing the point about violence at anti-Trump protests.” Lind stated that “Peaceful protest is invisible,” later arguing: “Only when protests get tense, confrontational, or violent do the cameras start rolling.” Lind went on to ask: “So if you’re a young person who reacts viscerally to the things Donald Trump says about Mexicans or Muslims, what do you see as the available, appropriate response?”

  2. Baltimore rioters are just like Iraqis living under Saddam Hussein.Vox published an article last year comparing the Baltimore rioters to the Iraqi people who engaged in looting after their liberation from the tyrannical regime of Saddam Hussein in 2003. Then-secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld had noted (in 2003) that the Iraqi people had suffered “decades of repression” under the genocidal regime. The Vox article said Rumsfeld’s comment “closely mirrors how many protesters feel about the rioting that erupted in Baltimore this week after Freddie Gray’s funeral.” The title of the piece called Rumseld’s description of the Iraqi people “a perfect explanation for why people riot.”

  3. Baltimore riots were “rooted in legitimate anger.”In yet another Vox article defending the Baltimore riots, German Lopez claimed: “Residents aren’t lashing out in violence just to take advantage of the situation — they’re unleashing anger that’s long existed in these communities.” Lopez’s article also noted that:

    It’s common for the public and leaders to dismiss these types of violent outbursts as senseless. President Barack Obama, for example, described the rioters as “criminals and thugs” who were taking advantage of the tense situation in Baltimore. ‘They’re destroying and undermining opportunities and businesses in their own communities,’ he said.

    But historians and experts say these types of outbursts are rooted in legitimate anger toward a system that in many ways has failed them.

Progressives have consistently shown an utter lack of respect for black conservatives like Clarence Thomas and Thomas Sowell. They laughed at, ridiculed and hated Sarah Palin and her family and progressives met her and her family with extreme rudeness and snarky sexism who shouldn’t moose hunt or even own a gun.

So Meryl Streep told us how her heart was broken by Trump making fun of a disabled reporter, (which he did not do), many on the right shrugged their shoulders and said, “Hey, this is your game, he just knows how to play it.” They didn’t accept that the progressive chutes and ladders of power and privilege mean they have to play by different rules.

Enter Donald Trump, with his devil-may-care attitude, progressives have been shocked to discover the importance of conservative and patriotic norms and traditions. Progressives switched and say the President shouldn’t attack Mika after she attacked him. A president just doesn’t say awful things about the FAKE media. A president doesn’t tweet attacks at enemies late at night. 

But here’s the thing: it’s too late. We are way past that now. The Left let its freak flag fly. We all saw it. Now normal is the new normal and there is no clear way back from that. Trump just followed their playbook and it got him elected.
