NO!… As long as there are divisions there cannot be unity but there are common characteristics that really are shared by all American’s that are not shared anywhere else because of the different natures of America and individual Americans. Know this! America is unique. America was created, reluctantly, because of a war.
The Revolutionary War was a spectacular event because it began when the brilliant Thomas Jefferson summarized the situation and listed the issues in The Declaration of Independence. He wrote: “…all men are created equal.” Unfortunately the words run far too fast. It is clear that in addition to common attributes, all men are clearly not at all equal but Jefferson had in mind an equality far above the commons. Ayn Rand hit it on the head when she expounded on “Man’s Right’s” and the fact that American’s have a different attitude than other’s because of our unique freedom’s. While everyone has Rights not everyone can exercise them because of despotic governments.
