When it comes to combat are women able to do the job? No fair asking if women can do the job the same as men because it depends on which job. The truth and the facts show that combat is not a job that requires the utmost strength only that it requires sufficient strength to do the job at hand. Women can easily fly combat aircraft and some women are manifestly better at it than men. Combat does not require the utmost human skill but the issue of women serving with men is the issue of sex. Men are sexually attracted to and by women and most women are smaller than men giving men an advantage in any physical encounter. Would women be sexually attractive to men in, during or after combat. Certainly. Could that affect the ability of men or women to be effective in combat? Certainly. Should women serve in combat? Certainly; just not alongside men because while combat doesn’t require the most powerful, it can require full concentration and sexual attraction can whither concentration. That’s dangerous.
