While visiting China back in 1976 we ate at The Wild Beast Restaurant where many different small animals are kept in cages in the foyer so diners can see what is available. In Marsaille they display large tables covered with ice to keep the fresh seafood on display so don’t be too alarmed that the Haitians are eating small animals in Springfield Ohio because just about every culture eats small animals like chickens, lambs, squirrels, rabbits, pheasants, small fish, clams, oysters, mussels, frogs, shrimps, scallops, turtles, snakes, cockles, whelks and yes, cats.
