Oppenheimer is alleged to have said this when he saw the first ever atomic explosion. It’s from the Hindu religion and has to do with, well,… Oppenheimer was correct as shown by the number of fatalities from the two atomic bombs, Little Man and Fat Boy. About 100,000 people are alleged to have perished but the number of dead is problematic as no accurate count was possible. Oppenheiner was correct however that as a result of the invention, production and dropping of the two bombs a terrible destroyer was unleashed on the world.
