Reverend Warnock. Reverend.. Get It? Reverend as in religion. His job is religious. How was he allowed to run for office by his religion? Government and religion should be kept separated because both demand obedience to their very different doctrines and that’s a conflict in belief. Religion is based in mysticism. Government is based on force. Those cannot be reconciled. They cannot be harmonized. It’s like trying to harmonize walking the dog with playing the piano. Nothing to do with each other.
For example.. 9/11 was a religious event. religion is opposed to stem cell research because Zygots, embryos and fetii have souls. No stem cell research prevents many medical discoveries. Faith healing withholds medical care from sick people. The Dark Ages. 900 years of the suppression of information. 900 years of darkness because of religion. Then there is the matter of the murders committed by the christian Inquisition and the christian crusaders invasion of Jerusalem. Then there’s this from the backyard skeptic: “Religion causes orders of magnitude more human suffering than any one thing on earth – but it doesn’t matter to them because there is a mythical eternal heaven to (not) go to. The fear of hell and a reward of heaven is a powerful force which changes people’s behavior from rational to delusional.”
