The November 5th Election resulted in the Income Tax Referendum being rejected by the Voters in four out of the five municipalities. Does that mean voters are against tax increases? Is that why so many Northampton Republicans came out to vote? If so the 2 new Northampton Republican Supervisors might want to honor their campaign promise and hold the tax increases.  

Both newly elected Republican Supervisors campaigned on “holding the line” on spending and tax hikes so Northampton should be safe from tax increases for the next two years. That’s when Republican supervisors Komolasky and Silver’s terms are over. If the four republicans decide to break their word and increase taxes, ….. well, who expects that?
