All controversial.. All three are mystical concepts, items that don’t reside in the real world. The real world is a metaphysical reference to a part of reality. Only reality exists. All else is fantasy, although fantasy has it’s place in the human world where reality and dreams reside side by side. In fact, there is no such thing in existence as fantasy although many people hold that thinking and dreaming don’t have to be connected with reality when, in fact they always reduce back to reality. Only reality exists. the Supernatural refers to:… “A set of mystical views about the supernatural origin of; working of and purposes of reality and about what this implies for the living of life.” Of course being mystical they don’t really exist. If you believe the supernatural exists you’ve been had. Happy having but you, nevertheless, have been conned by the biggest con in existence.
If you really believe in a systematic set of views and containing a metaphysical aspect that it’s views about the supernatural origins that it’s trying to explain transcend reality and if reality is the natural then the transcendent is in the supernatural. They are views that because of this cannot be rational. They are therefore mythical: “a set of mythical views about the supernatural origins of, workings of and purposes of this world and what that implies for the living of human life.”
We know at the outset that this opposes human life. That we live in an Aristotelian Universe where A is A; where everything is what it is; Life is Life. Life has definite characteristics. Life has definite needs. Life has Identity and for us, for human beings life involves essentially using the mind rationally in order to guide us in our actions; in out attempts to deal with the world in order to serve our own lives.
That’s not a hypothesis. That’s not a competing view. That’s a fact. That’s omnipotent. And we know in addition to that, given that that is the case that what life is, is what it is. Aside from what we may think, aside from whether we’re correct or wrong about it that given that that is the case there are things that serve human life and they are the fundamental values of life.
Therefore it is no accidental thing. It is no mere hypothesis that reason, purpose, self-esteem; all of these things are fundamental values of human life. And it is no accident that the actions that will produce those values are: Rationality; Independence; Pride; Integrity; Honesty; Justice; that is what the living of life is.
