It’s a lie you know, the idea that a gun is violent. When a headline reads “Gun Violence” someone is lying, covering up the truth about a killing, that it was done by someone. The headline should read: “Violent Criminal”… Criminals are violent, at least the violent ones. All criminality is an assault against someone but every criminal isn’t going to physically assault a victim. But when someone is shot there’s a tendency to exonerate the shooter by blaming the gun. So the media invented the term “Gun Violence”. That way they don’t have to describe the killer. The media doesn’t even describe the crime. They just describe the assault and make it seem like a gun did the assault. But we know guns aren’t violent. Guns don’t commit assaults. People do that. People who are criminals and criminals who are violent use guns to shoot people.
Here’s another flash. There’s no “Gun Crime”. Guns cannot commit crimes. In fact a lot of people need and use guns for self protection. this, unfortunately provides the opportunity for criminals to illegally get guns and use them to assault people. Blame the criminal, not the gun.
