Danny Cristaldi was a friend of mine who passed away at a very young age. Danny was a transmission mechanic at Hank Rheem’s shop on Rising Sun Avenue in Philly when I was a salesman for transmission parts. Dave Michaels was the manager. Dan rode motorcycles although he never joined a club like The Andalusia Motorcycle Club, of which I was the Road Captain. Dan worked at Al’s Auto and rode his motorcycle to and from work every day. He developed pancreatic cancer, … possibly from inhaling the fumes from transmission cleaning fluids for years while repairing transmissions. Had a Whipple procedure done and passed away shortly after that. We miss him. Dan was a great man, a great friend and a great motorcycle rider.
