Several active and retired members of the Navy have recently spoke out against the Navy’s lack of focus on actual training. One active-duty Navy lieutenant had this to say:

“Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we’ll survive a fight with the Chinese navy.”
