The circus of a show trial did what the jury was told to do by intimidation towards them, their families and their friends so Derek Chauvin was sent to jail when he should have been released. This is not said lightly. You deserve to know the truth instead of the set of lies you’ve have been told.
Here’s the very sad truth. George Floyd died from the drugs he took. He didn’t try to kill himself but he did bring his life to an end by taking the drugs. He said he couldn’t breathe. That’s what the drugs caused. He was handcuffed with his hands behind his back and put in a police car. He couldn’t breathe inside the police car so he jumped out. Four police officers restrained him. He couldn’t breathe before he jumped out of the police car. He said that’s why he jumped out. He needed: an ambulance; oxygen and medical treatment. He didn’t need to be pinned down on a street in Minneapolis. He needed help. He received none. He needed oxygen. He barely received air. He died. We didn’t need the circus that followed and is still going on. We don’t need more crimes; more riots; more fires; more and evermore destruction. None of that will help. More of it is expected.
In support of Floyd, people in big cities and small towns across the country and around the world came together last summer after George Floyd died to demand an end to police violence against black people; calls for greater accountability in law enforcement; advance alternative visions for public safety and to seek sweeping cultural change. The demonstrators got it horribly wrong. Floyd died because of a sad sequence of events that began far back in his life when he got things mixed up and wrong. It continued as he ingested powerful drugs. It continued when the police made a series of mistakes and it ended for George Floyd when the drugs finished their work on him. He was foaming from his mouth from the drugs. Many people watched him die. No one did the right thing. Instead be was pinned down and spectators took video’s with their cell phone cameras. Floyd died from a general kind of neglectful mistakes.
The protesters were often met by militarized police armed with tanks, chemical irritants and rubber bullets. But instead of cracking down on this brutality, lawmakers are turning against a movement that is leading to an overdue national reckoning about race in America.
The writer of the above which has been modified is a black man and a veteran community organizer who has seen firsthand how police act with violent impunity when black people gather to voice their anger. They begin with the presumption of innocence but far too often the place to begin is with the criminal element that has caused and hardened the attitudes of the people who are paid to enforce the law. The sad fact and hard truth is: far too many black men are criminals who engage in criminal behavior. They believe in their hearts that they need to protest to help change the behavior of the police towards black men. They need to begin a bit further back with the reasons the police have a hardened belief that black men engage in crime more than the rest of the population. That catches many innocent black men in it’s grip and that’s most unfortunate but black people and their white Liberal friends need to back up to the cause for the hardened hearts especially among the police. White Americans have bent over backwards trying to help black men stay on the right side of the law. White people have paid with taxes and time to help black men get it right. It hasn’t worked. Whatever good intentioned help and money that has been provided, and it’s been substantial. hasn’t worked. Maybe it helped in some ways but bottom line is there is a greater percentage of black men who engage in crime than there is in other races. George Floyd got caught in that world. Derek Chauvin got caught in that world. Now, George Floyd is dead and Derek Chauvin is in jail awaiting his sentence because the jury voted him guilty. The unfortunate story of George Floyd will continue with Derek Chauvin. It’s a bad story with a bad result and a bad ending that isn’t over yet but don’t look the other way and don’t look away. This is a seminal moment for the human race because it involves the end of the line for the justice system as it exists today. Much has changed. Demonstrations. Riots. Crime. Attitudes and it’s not over yet, not by a long shot. Pity. Pity towards each of us who care about such things. So much so wrong.
