Stupidity. Stupid people are not culpable. It’s not one’s fault that they are stupid and it’s not the fault of the stupid person that they are stupid but that’s the root of poverty. Certainly not the only cause nor even a necessary cause but the general rule is stupid people are poor because they are stupid. The general rule is not applicable in any specific case. Usually however poor people are stupid. There are amazingly successful people who are stupid. The opposite rule is successful people aren’t stupid. Exceptions galore but generally stupid goes with incapable and the result is un-success.
