CRISPR stands for: “Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats”. It identifies specific parts of DNA. Scientists have learned how to cut the double stranded DNA and splice in different sections. The research is difficult but DNA has been changed. So far it’s not possible to identify the parts of an individuals DNA that causes a propensity for criminal behavior. If and hopefully when that can be done what a miraculous future will be possible as the DNA of criminals can be modified to make them less criminal. DNA is the abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid, the hereditary material in many types of living cells. Criminals cost every culture massive amounts of time, effort and money as the innocent victims are forced to pay for: more police; more welfare; longer hence slower education; lost production; more anxiety; greater suspicion of others.. the list of costs is much, much longer but you should get the idea of the costs to a culture from the criminals. Many cannot be corrected so they can live among the population so they remain a burden to the innocent all of their life. What can be done? Not much. The criminal mind is very, very resistant to change but if criminal DNA can be modified, even in a small way the social benefits would be large.
