The Democrats have a lot to lose by delaying and opposing Amy Coney Barrett and nothing at all to gain by doing that. She should sail through the confirmation by the Senate unless the Democrats are so agitated against president Trump that they try to stall her confirmation. The big problem with Judge Barrett is her Catholic position against Abortion which is not a clear either/or decision.
The betting is Schumer is mad as hell but not stupid. He will act as normal as possible under these depressing for him circumstances. Look for Barrett to be confirmed before election day.
