Many have tried but there is no evidence human nature can change. It can evolve as it has is several different places but evolution is slow, tedious, wrong-directional most of the time and not really useful as an agent of change. The D-Day Protests In D.C. are forming right now so we will soon see the results of yet another protest to change what is impossible to change. Can the behavior of the police change? No, not really because police are human and humans are locked into their natures. When society gives a gun to a person with instruction on how to use it; when society gives clubs to people and demonstrates and trains them how to swing is into another person it is clear what will happen when the situation is unstable and the swinger or shooter is afraid, the result should not be in doubt or a surprise.
