Greta crossed the Atlantic from France to New York and from Virginia to Spain in 55 days. Commercial jets do it in 13 hours.
She travelled on two different, large, luxury sailboats, the 60 foot Malizia II, a million dollar sailboat and the 48 foot La Vagabonde worth $757,000 when new and even more now with the owners’s additions.
The jet would have saved her 54.5 days.
The jet is 100 times faster than the luxury sailboats. It’s why almost everyone uses jets for long distance travel.
Plus, the sailboats don’t process the waste or garbage. It goes right into the ocean. So much for keeping the planet clean.
