An explosion and fire destroyed the garage, thruway and SUV at this Hillcrestshire home.

The fire supposedly began with an explosion in a container stored in the garage used to carry ashes from the fireplace at about 1:00 pm on Christmas day. At the height of the fire 23 pieces of fire fighting equipment from Northampton and Lower Southampton were helping bring the fire under control. Highly flammable Silk Screen materials were allegedly stored in the garage. The Beisel family — Dan and Dianna and their two children, ages 15 and 8 were all safe.
