Dallas has Dak and Ezekiel. Eagles have Wentz, Ertz and a motley crew because so many starters are banged up. Ertz is the veteran at 29. The others are all 26. Four great players but Ezekiel has to get out of the backfield while all Ertz has to do is nothing. He’s already downfield so compared to Zeke who has the entire defensive line and at least one defensive back shadowing him, Ertz puts the Eagles ahead of Dallas.
The Eagles have lost most of their offensive players to injuries. They barely beat the Redskins as Wentz went all the way down the field in the final drive to throw one of the best ever passes to Greg Ward…(who?)…. was falling down but easily caught the perfect clothlesline lazar pass from Rifleman Wentz. Then mean Nigel Bradham who is perpetually mad at the opponents recovered a fumble and ran it 46 yards into the end zone. A fantastic, heads-up bit of football. Those are two rather freaky plays that beat Washington. Don’t be too hard on the Eagles however, it’s the do or die second team mind-set that refuses to take it easy.
So everything looks like Dallas will be favored to beat Wents, Ertz and the Eagles but I’ll go with the do or die guys and pick the Eagles……. But I won’t bet any money on it… well, maybe a Charlie Brown bet of 5 cents. Right. I’m going with the Eagles because I hate Dallas so much.
