Existence – Consciousness – Identity are the three axioms at the beginning of human knowledge. The alternatives start with a mystical view of the universe that contradicts existence. So stated Ayn Rand and she proved it many times in her writings.
The world of religion begins with Mysticism. Every religion is based upon mysticism according to Rand and to her favorite lover and intellectual heir Nathanial Branden initially known as Nathanial Blumenthal. Nathanial was disowned by Rand after his affairs with a few different women was told to her in a fit of pique by Nathanial’s first wife Barbara Weidman. He went on to publish 22 books. A rather successful intellectual as was his first wife Barbara.
Rands three values were: Reason, Purpose and Self Esteem but esteem for the self is against the major sin in the world which is Pride. Pride is the recognition of the fact that you’re your own highest value. Proud people won’t sacrifice themselves for their fellow men which religion holds is necessary to get into heaven. Mysticism..
If their life has a purpose they won’t try to hide until they can die and get into heaven. If they use their reason to choose alternatives they won’t need to pray in the hope the right thing to do will be revealed to them. Mysticism again.
