Forty two years ago, with a friend and business colleague, both feeling we were on our last visit to a most favored place in Africa, and a favorite in this world to us, …we were both very seasoned travelers having been to many places in Africa, Europe, South and Central America and Asia, he a Canadian National born in the UK and me, an America destined to be in 92 countries, was my last time in Capetown.
Capetown.
A far, far away place for Americas. Well worth seeing but very far out of the way for most commercial and personal travelers, Capetown is a great place to visit. A starting place for a drive sown the coast to Chapman’s peak and going as far as it’s possible to go to the Cape of Good Hope. A great climate. Great seafood. The Mount Nelson Hotel. But very, very dangerous these days. For certain…. That was my last trip there. No More.. Too dangerous.
