a Lakota. Lakatos are not Ameircans therefore not Native Americans at all. Legally[18] and by treaty a semi-autonomous “nation” within the United States is not part of the United States. A Nation within a nation is not part of both. Phillips self-identifies as “Lakota” and an organization representing Phillips, the Lakota People’s Law Project, makes the distinction very clear.

Daniel Paul Nelson, a leader in the Lakota People’s Law Project, said in an interview that his group made the error of referring to Philipps Marine Service as being in Vietnam when he wasn’t and Phillips himself never told us that he served in Vietnam. The group, Nelson said, “trusted what we had seen” in previous stories about Phillips, some of which also referred to him erroneously as a Vietnam veteran. That runs against the credibility of the Lakota Peoples Project whose strategy appears to be to disrupt as much of White America as possible to call attention to itself and it’s work.

Fair enough. Disruption for attention has a long history. It was used in the Easter Uprising in Ireland on April 24, 1921 to start the Irish Uprising that resulted in executions of the protestors but eventually it created an independent Ireland except for the North.

Nevertheless the FAKE NEWS MEDIA started banging the drums against the innocent white Roman Catholic teenagers instead of the guilty man with the red skin…. Uh oh…..

But Phillips is not an American, he’s a Lakota, right? He’s not a Native American because he’s not an American. And part of being a Lacota requires red skin.

The Lakota Freedom Delegation traveled to Washington, D.C. contacted the State Department, and announced the Lakota were unilaterally withdrawing from the several treaties with the United States government. The delegation presented a letter, dated December 17, 2007 and signed by longtime Indian activists Russell Means, Garry Rowland, Duane Martin Sr. (aka Canupa Gluha Mani), and Phyllis Young, which declared the Lakota to be “predecessor sovereign of Dakota Territory” and cited gross violations of the treaties between the Lakota and the United States as the immediate cause for withdrawal. The letter also invited the United States government to enter into negotiations with the newly declared entity, there identified only as “Lakotah”. It threatened that if good-faith negotiations were not begun then “Lakotah will begin to administer liens against real estate transactions within the five state area of Lakotah.”

The group also has pursued international recognition for Lakotah at the embassies of VenezuelaBoliviaChile, and South Africa and has claimed that Ireland and East Timor are “very interested” in Lakotah’s declaration and that they expect recognition from Russia. Russell Means has made reference to Finland and Iceland as well.

That may explain why Philllips was in Washington and was confronting the white Roman Catholic High School students.
