Then there’s ‘Low I.Q.’ Maxine Waters Urging Violence.
Waters speaking to reporters over the weekend, saying, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” (Rep. Andy Biggs from Arizona, slapped Rep. Maxine Waters with a measure of censure and a call to resign.)
“[Waters‘ comments] do not become somebody who’s in Congress,” Biggs said, The Hill reported. “So we just introduced it, we have some co-sponsors, but what she did was to basically incite people to come after and attack members of the president’s Cabinet. And also spread that out to more people.”
The measure calls for Waters to step down from office, apologize to the White House “for endangering their lives and sowing seeds of discord,” and acknowledge, in writing, that she was wrong — that harassment and violence aren’t proper ways to express political dissent.
Actor James Woods, law professor John Banzhaf, and Crime Prevention Research Center’s PhD. John Lott are advising individuals in the left’s crosshairs to get guns and/or concealed carry permits. Lott observed, “There are simply not enough police in D.C. or Virginia or Maryland to protect all Trump officials at their homes and when they go out to restaurants. Getting a concealed handgun permit would be helpful to protect themselves and their family.” Lott argues in both More Guns, Less Crime and The Bias Against Guns that defensive gun use (DGU) is underreported, noting that in general, only shootings ending in fatalities are discussed in news stories. In More Guns, Less Crime, Lott writes that “[s]ince in many defensive cases a handgun is simply brandished, and no one is harmed, many defensive uses are never even reported to the police.”
Concealed Carry Laws have not led to the massive bloodbath of death and injury that some of their opponents feared.
We must do all we can to prevent further violence by the nutty left but it’s getting more and more difficult.
