The prospect of being able to weaken or defeat affirmative-action laws that conservatives have long detested because when one person is given a privilege because of the color of their skin another person whose skin is a different color is punished.
It should not be an either/or decision or result. No one should be discriminated against and no one should benefit from discrimination but when one is positively discriminated and another is negatevly discriminated against it’s worse than simple discrimination. No one should be punished by discrimination. If a purple student is admitted because of their purpleness and a green student is not selected because they aren’t purple, discrimination was used twice to tilt the playing field, to load the dice, to stack the deck.
That’s why Affirmative Action has enemies.
TIME magazine reported their fear of white people because of a Trump presidency. They predicted: “economic chaos, entrenched bigotry and xenophobia by white people”. The problem for TIME is: they failed, they utterly, absolutely and completely failed to notice their motivation to condemn white people for not being diverse or multicultural as though other races and cultures are better than America because they are diverse,
It’s a set of lies. TIME is a swindler or huge proportions. They are constantly beating the drum of the problems of white people and the greatness of non-whites. They refuse to see or if they see, to acknowledge their anti-white bigotry against white skinned people.
TIME magazine calls President Trump a “WHITE SUPREMACIST” simply because he is not non-white. Perhaps it’s the stupidity of the group who run TIME or the drumbeat of the colleges that whites are not diverse as though there is a culture that is diverse. All cultures are bigoted towards their own members and culture. Letting them into any other culture dilutes their supposedly wonderful culture as well as the culture into which they are accepted. In the case of lesser cultures coming into America it dilutes the American culture making it less American and more otherly.
In addition, an explanation of the revenge of the American Left against white america is that from 1975 to 2014, according to census data analyzed by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, white male workers without a college degree saw their median incomes fall by more than 20 percent, after adjusting for inflation. Their incomes fell 14 percent between 2007 and 2014.
The promise of America may never be realized because of the diversity of America. Different groups have animus towarde the others.
It’s part of human nature and America is intent on running against human nature and finding places for all races, creeds and cultures within our borders. There is a place in America for anyone but America has limitations. Americans should not be penalized for not living up to an impossible standard not should Americans be penalized for trying.
As RFK said in Capetown, South Africa: “But we can perhaps remember — even if only for a time — that those who live with us are our brothers; that they share with us the same short moment of life; that they seek — as we do — nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can. “Surely this bond of common faith, this bond of common goal, can begin to teach us something. Surely, we can learn, at least, to look at those around us as fellow men. And surely we can begin to work a little harder to bind up the wounds among us and to become in our own hearts brothers and countrymen once again. … “Our future may lie beyond our vision, but it is not completely beyond our control. It is the shaping impulse of America that neither fate nor nature nor the irresistible tides of history, but the work of our own hands, matched to reason and principle, that will determine our destiny. There is pride in that, even arrogance, but there is also experience and truth. In any event, it is the only way we can live.”
