An aggravated assault is a crime that involves unwanted touching. Simple assault means causing fear for one’s safety. Groping is far more than mere touching. Franken has not been charged with a crime but he must be guilty because he’s resigning tomorrow. Good. People must be protected from those who cannot or will not control themselves and it’s the job of the police and the prosecutors to protect those who cannot protect themselves from gropers, grabbers and rape.
It’s very serious that a Senator is resigning without being charged with a crime. Senator Conyers did it yesterday and Senator Franken is doing it tomorrow.
