To blame the present disfunctionality of South Africa on their use of Democracy to destroy the white race is to horribly miss the point of government. Jefferson got it more correct than for example, Mandela and Ilana Mercer. Government is not about getting the correct racial balance in the government but about the recognition of Individual Rights and the use of government to protect people based on their Rights.
Ilana Mercer is a brilliant political analyst but in her current column she concludes South Africa should have thwarted the rule of the majority because it would have decimated the white people in South Africa.
The white people are being decimated by the huge black majority but that would have happened regardless of which of the opposing politicians won in South Africa.

The problem is not that the wrong thugs were elected; that’s true; they were but it’s that virtually no one, including Mercer understands Individual Rights.

Majority rule is not a problem in a country or a culture that protects Individual Rights, which means, sadly, no place in the world, at the moment.

South Africa needs the American Constitution but before South Africa can adopt it they need to learn far more about Individual Rights and the purpose of government.
“Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual).” Ayn Rand
