Cost Of Water In Northampton Township Bucks County Completely Out Of Control

The “Authority” just increased the taxes for water and sewer 39% for 2017 alone due to incompetent management. This is partly because the Northampton Board of Supervisors failed to oversee the Water and Sewage Authority which exposed the taxpayers to an unprecedented 39% tax increase for 2017.

The “Authority” has two jobs to do. First they oversee the pipes for water and sewage. Second they collect taxes to pay for water and sewage charges. The locations of the pipes don’t change. There’s nothing to do except fix the occasional leak. Handling the sewage means keeping the pumps running. That’s all there is to it so a 39% increase is unconscionable. It needs to be rolled back.

But the 5 Northampton Supervisors just sat around and let this happen. Sure they pay a manager to manage the pipes and pumps so how did they let the costs get so out of control? /span>
