There are neither secular nor religious laws in America.
Laws exist; no one has to agree with them for them to be valid. Laws can change or be revoked but until they are changed or revoked they are the laws to which everyone is bound.
Suppose someone asks: do I have to follow a law which violates my belief system? Yes. If they ask: “may I violate a law?” The answer is: you will be subject to punishment by the law enforcement people if you do.
If they ask: “may I follow a religious law that’s in conflict with a civil law?” Maybe in Oz but not in the United States.
