Religions come with a set of principles. Different principles, different religions, different responses to identical problems.
Whatever your religious views, watch out arguing politics with them to people who have different religious ideas because the goal of politics is to get certain people elected. That means finding arguments that will help get one candidate elected or will get one candidate defeated. Religion is un-helpful doing that.
Different religions alienate people who are following a different set of principles than you.
