You know its true. The Awards and the audience are blatantly Anti-American, Democrat, Socialist, Communist, Left-Wing, Anti-Christian, Resentful, Contemptable, Un-American, Envious Trump Hater’s and suck.   President Trump said: “The Academy Award sucks now because people get up and use foul language about your favorite president. By the way… Is Robert De Niro a moron? He’s a moron. There’s something wrong with him.”

  1. Disconnect Between Critics, Insiders, and Audiences

  • The Voting Body: The Oscars are not chosen by film critics or the general public. They are voted on by roughly 10,000 industry insiders in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Members often vote within their own specialty branches (e.g., actors vote for actors) or cast ballots for films they haven’t even watched, leading to insular or trendy choices rather than universal cultural impact.

  • “Oscar Bait” and Lobbying: Campaigns cost millions of dollars. Studios use aggressive lobbying, political maneuvering, and calculated “Oscar bait” formulas—such as biopics, trauma narratives, or social issue films—designed explicitly to check boxes for voters rather than tell a compelling, authentic story.

  1. Political Grandstanding and Perceived Hypocrisy

  • Preachy Speeches: Viewers frequently complain that celebrities use the stage to lecture the public on political, economic, or social issues while appearing wealthy, sheltered, and disconnected from regular people.

  • Incongruous Realities: The ceremony has faced sharp mockery for contrasting high-minded speeches with real-world disconnects, such as corporate or political hypocrisy, controversial nominee pasts, or heavy-handed scripted bits.

  1. Diversity Mandates vs. Artistic Merit

  • DEI Standards: The introduction of strict Representation and Inclusion Standards for Best Picture eligibility has drawn fire from critics who argue that quotas and institutional checklists supersede pure artistic achievement and storytelling quality.

  1. Bloated Ceremonies and Cultural Irrelevance

  • Length and Pacing: The broadcast regularly drags on for hours with excessive filler, overlong tributes, and awkward comedic bits that alienate casual viewers.

  • Shifting Entertainment Landscape: As audiences fragment across streaming platforms, gaming, and independent creators, a self-congratulatory Hollywood broadcast feels increasingly like an artifact of a bygone era rather than a defining cultural event.

The Oscars have become a joke. Almost no one tunes in to watch the actual awards but to get a look at the celebrities, their clothes and their dates.
