The very first words of the bible are: “In the beginning when God Created the heavens and the earth,…” but if God was there “in the beginning” it could not be “the beginning” because how did God get there before the beginning? What or when was God created? The answer usually is: “He always was.” That simply cannot be. If everything has a beginning then God had to have a beginning too. OTOH is God “always was” then everything didn’t have to have a beginning. But there’s another answer that explains how God got here. He was invented to explain things that were thought to be unexplainable.
