Cell phone cameras are not really cameras because they do not need to be set. Yes, they take photographs but the photo’s are devoid of the creativity needed and used by real photographers. real photographers use real cameras not cell phone cameras with their teeny tiny little lens. real photographers know what an F stop is.
So, .. on the the greatest camera in the world. Any camera that can use the Leica f/o.95 lens. The lens is the critical element but the photographer has to know what the lens can do and what it’s doing in each situation. One of the most elemental aspects of photography is what is in focus and what is not. There’s a whole lot more to photography than focus but with the Leica f/0.95 the purpose of using the lens is to blur the foreground or the background and isolate the image. I just read a long treatise from a photographer who has been photographing for 40 years. His lecture was about the Leica f/0.95 and the way it blurs the background, called bokeh without mentioning the part of the scene or image that is in focus. Perhaps he didn’t realize there’s a zone that is in focus and a zone in front of nad another behind the subject that is blurred. the infocus zone is called ‘depth of field” and it’s what is in focus. A capable photographer uses depth of field without being conscious it because people will not buy photographs where the subject is not in sharp focus.
