BEEF STEWorcestershire sauce

1        Brown 3-4 pounds beef stew meat, trimmed and cut into 1 – 2 inch chunks

2        4 Bacon Slices, Cooked and diced

3        1 -2 teaspoons sea salt

4        1/2 teaspoon black pepper

5        1/2 teaspoon onion powder

6        2 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided

7        1/3 cup flour (use gluten free flour or arrowroot starch if needed)

8        cooking oil

9        1 lb Mushrooms

10      1 medium onion, cut into large chunks

11      3-4 cloves garlic, minced

12      6 tablespoons tomato paste

13       1 tbl caraway seeds

13      2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red wine

14      4 medium Russet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1 inch chunks

15      1 large sweet potato, peeled and chopped into 1 inch chunks (leave out if desired)

16      1 large rutabaga diced into small pieces

17      3 medium carrots, peeled and cut into slices

18      3 cups celery w/leaves, diced

19      1 Jalapeno pepper

20      1-2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

21      1 tablespoon Steak Sauce

22      ¼ teaspoon Paprika

23      2 14.5 oz can’s whole tomatoes. Slip off skins then chop

24      2 bay leaves

25      6 sprigs of fresh thyme

26      1 sprig Rosemary

27       4-5 cups beef broth, homemade or low sodium to cover the vegetables

28      Beef Bouillon cubes

29      4 packages (2 boxes) Lipton’s Beefy Onion Soup mix

30      ½ cup Irish Whiskey

31      Some Beer

33       Orange Strips

34       Orange Zest

35      1-2 Tbl Horseradish

36      1-2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

37      1 Star Anise or 1 Fennel bulb (optional but adds SO much depth and flavor)
