Commutation is a lesser penalty while a pardon completely eliminates a sentence. Ghislaine did many despicable things on her own and with Jeffery Epstein. These are two hardened criminals who escaped capture for many, many years while they operated sex dens in New York, Florida, London and a beautiful island in the Caribbean called: “Little Saint James” and preyed on vulnerable young girls.
Ghislaine deserves a long time behind bars but if she gives up other criminals and especially if she implicates very powerful people she may have her sentence lessened. Does she deserve that? Absolutely…. but it depends on the people she gives up and especially on the victims.
HOW MANY VICTIMS DID GHISLAINE RECRUIT? So far we don’t know. She may not know because there may not be a record of all of them but it could be in the thousands because they operated in so many places for such a long, long time. She was called a Sexual Predator by one of the victims who reported Epstein’s crimes to the F.B.I. but they did nothing about her complaint.
No doubt Ghislaine is familiar with many of the victims as well as many of the men for whom she supplied those victims. She committed crimes against those victims in addition to committing crimes against society and we know for a fact that one of them, Virginia Giuffre committed suicide which puts Ghislaine in the crosshairs of a possible murder charge.

She is an American citizen as well as a citizen of Great Britain and France who is fluent in at least three languages. She is a helicopter pilot. This is one smart, accomplished person which makes her crimes even worse.

The ultimate fate of Ghislaine Maxwell, now 63 years of age may depend on the grace of president Donald Trump who has the power to commute or pardon her. No doubt she will remain in custody for more years and then around age 70 or so she may be released from prison into some lesser manner of confinement, for example, house arrest. She is a hardened criminal who did despicable things to many young girls so she deserves severe punishment. It’s possible she was herself intimidated and seduced and that her judgement was overwhelmed by Jeffery Epstein who was a criminal mastermind so it’s better that he’s now dead. Ghislaine however deserves punishment. Her victims are proof that she deserves whatever time behind bars she receives. Does she deserve mercy? Of course. We’re human and we believe in the essential goodness of everyone which is what Ghislaine betrayed. She knew better and she should have and could have run from Epstein.
