get away from the Tampa area!! Pronto!!

Mobile Homes will tumble and roll off their foundations as the hurricane traverses Tampa. Many homes on foundations will be ripped off their foundations even if  they are secured by properly installed special hurricane resistant attachments. When wind flows across a roof it creates suction on the roof which literally lifts the roof off ot the walls. Hurricane clips or metal straps properly installed will transfer some of the lift to the vertical walls which can then be lifted off of the foundation. In addition to the force lifting the roof a hurricane causes a force against the vertical walls that can literally push the house off of the foundation and easily lift it into the air which will destroy it. One square foot of vertical wall can develop one pound of force for every mile an hour of wind. An eight foot high vertical wall will develop eight hundred pounds of force per foot. A 20 foot long wall, eight feet high will develop up to 8oo x 20 or 16,000 pounds or 8 tons of force that will push the wall off the foundation. To that force will be added the suction force which will lift the roof and the wall. The suction force is amplified as the wind first blows up the first part of the roof then joins the wind flowing over the downsloped roof which causes suction that lifts the downslope. Wind force on a structure is rather complicated to calculate but very few structures can withstand a severe hurricane. The storm surge is forecasted to produce 10 to 15 feet of water which will put every one story house and everything in it underwater. People will drown under those conditions so ;eave the area. take that New Orleans or European vacation to keep yourself and your family safe. It’s a great time to vacation in Europe or New Orleans where you can have breakfast at Brennans and listen to the day after damage reports over bacon and eggs or waffles and sausage.

If Hurricane Milton is as severe as forecasted and it hits Tampa Bay, which seems absloutely certain, the city will look like it’s been bombed. The best plan for Tampa is to flee. Leave. Pack up and git. Do not try to ride it out. You won’t make it. This is serious. This is not playing around and people who think they will take a chance and stay in Tampa wmy not be heard from again. In short: Get outta Tampa!!! People cannot ride out a super-hurricane like Milton.. FLEE FOR YOUR LIFE.. You will not be able to walk because the high wind will blow you over. The streets and roads will become streams and rivers. The water can be four feet deep and moving. You cannot survive in such conditions. If you have access to a boat sail it far away until Milton has passed and the water drains off the streets and roads, probably two or three days later.
