You can get a college degree with as few as 60 college credits although a proper degree from a highly accredited college will require about 110 credits. At 3 credits per course that’s 37 courses which means 37 books. Of course most professors don’t require actually reading each and every page so it’s a bit easier to get through college than slogging through each book. This isn’t true for the sciences, Engineering or physics which not only requires reading each page but also doing the problem solving for the equations and that is a problem because some of the equations require an explanation before the concept is understood. It’s why science and engineering degrees are far more difficult than degrees in the arts or humanities. Those degrees are important because art is important and its much better to attend a literature class when the professor understands the work than to try to get by by reading the book but the bottom line is” College is about the books. Nevertheless there are ways around the system. We had a relative, now deceased who simply began telling people he graduated from Penn and he got away with it his entire adult life. That’s the easiest degree to get.. Lying and he did it. He also figured out how to order anti-smoking patches from China and sold them in America making himself a tidy sum. He was an obnoxious youth who transitioned into a really obnoxious middle aged man until he rid the world of himself and died at age 76.
