Here’s why Trump is correct to limit immigration to friends of America and deny immigration to America’s enemies.
We are aware of the Hamas ideology to eliminate Israel. On a simple level the desire to kill Jews is murder but on an ideological level it is akin to the NAZI’s program to eliminate the Jews of Germany and Europe. That’s a call for genocide, a horrible crime against humanity which is the call of Hamas. This is a fact beyond argument since it comes from Hamas itself. How can that be tolerated? The answer it it cannot. No call for the elimination of Israel or for the elimination of the Jews can be considered because it is a call for the immoral. Genocide is immoral. Israel is not calling for the death of the Palestinians. It is calling for the death of Hamas and it has every correct, humanitarian reason for calling for an end to Hamas who is the proven enemy of Israel and the Jewish people.
Yet Trump is not calling for death to anyone. He is calling for the prohibition of entrance to America of truly evil people. Trump is against those who are calling for the death of Israel, an entirely moral call. America has many prohibitions against entrance. People wanted for crimes in their country may enter America depending on the country from which the immigrant is fleeing because America recognizes there are despotic regimes from which it is proper to escape. America is one place for them to come. We wish them well and encourage their immigration to America.
No country needs evil people however some countries are ruled or run by despots and those rulers cause immigrants to leave for safety. They would be jailed, tortured and killed if they do not leave. It is proper for those people to head for America. As Ronald Reagan said: “America is a beacon for all the pilgrims from all the lost places who are hurtling through the darkness, toward home.” Let them come to America..
