Goodnight sweet angel…

Suzanne brought lots of joy to so many people in her life as an entertainer, wife and mother. Her achievements were many. We will miss her. Light the sky with your heart Suzanne, breathe the moon and the stars. We need not stand at her grave and weep; we have all of the joyful moments as a resource to give us joy from the past and hope for the future. Grace and beauty were in her steps. How fortunate were we to have had Suzanne near us. She showed us how to live. When we think of you now we will look up.

On a personal note, I found myself standing next to her during a layover at Hanada Airport in Japan. Suzanne was easy to talk to just like a nearby neighbor or school friend. Her conversation was easy and relaxed. She was headed home after entertaining the troops in Korea. She related that the enemy, the North Koreans tried to disrupt her performance but they weren’t successful. She sent me Christmas cards for several years. Thank you, Suzanne.
