New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he wants the NYPD to embrace the use of drones. Now, the NYPD announces they will be using drones to check out complaints of large parties and gatherings this weekend. It’s called spying. It’s illegal because individuals have a Constitutional Right To Privacy and government is prohibited from spying without a spy warrant which is unconstitutional when it’s issued. Privacy isĀ a fundamental human right recognized in the UN Declaration of Human Rights; the International Convenant on Civil and Political Rights and in many other international and regional treaties. Privacy underpins human dignity and other key values such as freedom of association and freedom of speech.
