• Heating oil — $2,558 per household per season… FOUR TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN GAS.

  We saved even more when we switched.

  Plus we eliminated the large fuel tank and gained space.

• Propane (Midwest) — $1,448 per household  per season

• Electricity — $964 per household per season.

• We switched from oil to gas years ago and have found our heating bills are about 80% less with natural gas. We also removed the electric cooktop and put in a gas cooktop but we still use the separate electric wall oven. We also have a hot water coil in the gas heater so no no longer need a separate electric hot water heater so we are saving all kinds of money with the gas heater – cooktop – hot water heater set-up.
