President Putin’s decision to attack Ukraine is a terrible blunder and a strategic mistake, for which the Russian people will pay a heavy price, both economically and politically, for years to come.

NATO has 3.3 million personal. NATO is 29 European countries plus America. If Putin and China want to fight over Ukraine or, if Putin decides to escalate his war in Ukraine the battle may be between America plus NATO.

NATO is already supplying so-called “Defensive Weapons” to Ukraine. NATO imposed sanctions on Russia for Russia’s misguided aggression in Ukraine. If China decides to enter the Russian war, all bets are off. China is a major player.

What about the Middle East powers? What about Africa, Central and South America? Indonesia? Well, .. they are members of the UN. The UN has condemned Russia over Ukraine, to wit:

The United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly 132 to 7 with 32 abstaining, in favour of the Resolution demanding Moscow withdraw its troops from Ukraine and end the fighting.

It makes Valdimir Putin a War Criminal.

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, President Joe Biden signed into law the bipartisan Justice for Victims of War Crimes Act (S. 4240), which expands the scope of individuals subject to prosecution for war crimes. With the new law, Putin’s war crimes could be prosecuted in the United States. This was not the case until now.   The Justice for Victims of War Crimes Act is to strengthen the efforts to ensure justice and accountability by enabling the Department of Justice to prosecute alleged war criminals who are found in the United States, regardless of the location of the crime and the nationality of the perpetrator or the victim. The law comes in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the growing body of evidence of war crimes perpetrated by Putin’s army.
