The Bell Curve be damned! We find for example, people who are black, like Oprah who should have far less success than she does. Does that prove The Bell Curve is wrong? What about the Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb? How many white people worked on building the most violent device in history? Doesn’t that prove mutatis mutanda white people are far more violent than black people? Well.. Buckle up buttercup,, here we go… No.. Oprah doesn’t prove anything at all about The Bell Curve, a book that used data that existed long before Oprah was born. The Manhattan Project, which developed the atomic bomb, was America’s answer to Pearl Harbor, the devastating secret attack against America by the Japanese who were not white so according to the Bell Curve should have been smarter than white Americans so they should not have attacked Pearl Harbor yet they did. And Hiroshima and Nagasaki were attacks by inferior people against a superior people, … according to The Bell Curve.
Here’s the part I love. There are more intelligent people in Europe and America than in many other countries and places. More.. More with high intelligence. Sure, Mongolia, China and India have more non-whites and there must be more intelligent people there than in Europe and America but those cultures have not had the success of Europe and America. Why not? The Bell Curve claims they should have more success. Why don’t they? Easy answer. Success at different things requires different attributes than intelligence so don’t get all bothered by the idea that some people and some cultures that are not so smart are more successful than other cultures that are smarter. The dumber cultures may be lazier but luckier.
