51,402,909 people live in the 50 largest cities out of a total population of 328 million souls. So 84 percent of America does not live in one of the top 50 cities. Only one out of every six people life in one of America’s 50 largest cities. Lori Lightfoot is the only lesbian mayor or chief executive of a large American city proving Lightfoot is an outlier. Most American cities do not have a million people. Only the top ten do. Here’s the problem with the big cities. The national press cannot cover most of America so they only cover the biggest cities.
