In a highly partisan report about president Trumps poor relationship with the intelligence community, who would expect him to trust people who snuck into his political campaign and tried to take him down before he was even elected? One of the lessons of history is the effects of the police and the secret police in various countries and cultures who did the bidding of politicians but utterly failed to protect the citizens. America is rather unique in the ability to control the police and associated apparatus but as the police spy inside the Trump campaign was outed it validated the need to control the police.
As an example the American Intelligence Community is demanding access to private and priveleged communications of the president. .
