How is that possible? The races of the victims was different than the races of the perps. Does that mean it’s a race-based crime? Or were the rapes purly sexual? One of the perps only drove the stolen car. ONLY?? . . . . Well, that’s how it was reported.

The medical examiner said Channon Christian died after hours of torture, suffering injuries to her vagina, anus, and mouth in repeated sexual assaults. Bleach was poured down her throat and used to scrub her body while she was still alive in an attempt by her attackers to remove DNA evidence. She was bound with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered with a trash bag, and her body stashed in five large trash bags. These were placed inside a residential waste disposal unit and covered with sheets. Police found Christian’s body in a trash can. The medical examiner said Christian slowly suffocated to death.
Newsom had been bound, blindfolded, gagged, and stripped naked from the waist down, shot in the back of the head, neck, and back, and his body was set on fire. According to the testimony of the Knox County Acting Medical Examiner Newsom was sodomized with an object and raped by a person at the house and his body was later wrapped and abandoned.
On March 20, 2018, eleven years after the conclusion of the original trials, a Knox County grand jury had returned a thirty-six count indictment charging Eric DeWayne Boyd the driver of Channon’s stolen SUV, with first-degree felony murder, first-degree premeditated murder, especially aggravated robbery, especially aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated rape in the murders. Boyd is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
