Many would hold the Pope as the Chief Moral Officer on the planet but President Trump, like every president before him has more moral power and authority because of the great number and the different cultures among Americans in the president’s audience which is far greater than those of the Pope.
Neither the Pope nor the president hold their moral authority by force. That would be an obscene contradiction because morality works by persuasion, not force. Force negates Morality…. See Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, Kim Jong Un as examples of immoral regimes because they impose their will by force making morality impossible.
